What was the highlight of Hotel Jalance Experience
Disappointing stopover
The shower was excellent. Spacious room and plenty of mirrors.
We would haveliked a room with better view but told hotel full. In fact it was not full at all! Dinner was not until 21.00 so tried to find somewhere to eat in village but nothing was open. Ended up eating in hotel, but Spanish menu of day was €12 though English menu €15? When I questioned this next morning was told all menus were €15 at weekends. We had dorada and one of them was partly raw. Saving grace was the fresh bread and big portion of melon. Fawlty towers of Jalance. Place looked as if it would be very luxurious, but instead was very end of season. A/C seemed to give up overnight. Room smelt musty on first entry. Would not go there again.

Nice place Good People
The Staff was Great , restaurant only opened during very Odd hours but they would always whip something up for me that was cool because all restaurants here in Spain have odd hours , Hell everything in Spain has Odd Hours but it’s a Nice hotel with a Great Staff that worked hard to accommodate me!!!!!!!!
No Microwave in my room but this is Europe.....Js

What was the highlight of Hotel Jalance Experience
very very sad
Hotel was clearly once really good and has the potential to be really good again but everyone has given up. Location would be great if you could get in the main entrance
They now have a land dispute with the neighbour and the front gate is padlocked and has been for 3 months. No signage though to alternative entrance. It's up a windy back road and in the back entrance. Once in the place is deserted. It feels like the last guest checked out years ago. We found a nice corner by the front door to have a bottle of wine. Lovely tabel at back of hotel with the spectacular views but no shade, umbrellas or cushions. Manager had great trouble finding corkscrew then ice and eventually our wine arrived with 4 water glasses. It was pleasant sitting outside by the front door until the cleaning staff joined us on the next table and got drinks and started smoking. They were later replaced by the chef who sat there with his coffee and cigarette. The dinner was only 12e and it was mediocre. Salad was tinned tomatoes, tinned tuna, tinned olives and onions. The whole place is just on the verge of collapse.

I found everything about this hotel absolutely perfect, Location, service, staff were very helpful. I couldn’t praise it higher. In a previous report I rated a hotel in Confrentes, which was terrible, somehow these got mixed up, and it went out as the hotel Calpe. I APOLOGISE TO STAFF AND OTHER BOOKING.COM CUSTOMERS FOR ANY MISUNDERSTANDING CAUSED. THIS HOTEL IS BRILLIANT IN EVERY WAY. DEREK
